Founder

  • Sarah is a passionate strength and fitness enthusiast with over a decade of experience in the tech industry. Balancing her professional life with family, she is a dedicated mother of four (2 kiddos, 2 pups), finding joy in both her career and her commitment to health. Sarah believes in the transformative power of fitness and is always seeking new ways to challenge herself and inspire those around her. When she’s not taking XFormer pilates or exploring the latest tech trends, you can find her enjoying quality time with her family in nature.

Anna Premo
Head of Studio

  • Anna is a dedicated trainer and health coach who has guided and celebrated clients through their wellness journeys for over a decade. With experience teaching fitness from Brooklyn, NYC to Houston, TX, and now Traverse City, MI, she believes in the power of movement to help people connect with their most authentic selves. Anna’s approach to fitness fosters positive life changes, boosting energy, building confidence, and cultivating gratitude for what our bodies can achieve. Outside the studio, you’ll find her on the road, traveling cross-country embracing van life with her partner and two dogs, living her own journey of adventure and wellness.

Kamryn Phillips
Instructor

  • With a degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University and 8 years experience as a Certified Personal Trainer, Kamryn believes fitness is more than just physical movement—it's a pathway to overall wellbeing and personal growth. Kamryn's understanding of human movement and biomechanics has taught her that sustainable fitness comes from combining proper form with mindful, purposeful exercise and she loves bringing these principles to her clients. When she's not in the studio, she's probably reading or cooking a yummy meal. Kam's favorite XFormer move is a carriage lunge! 

Riley Volker
Instructor

  • Riley recently relocated to Traverse City from Cincinnati, Ohio, where she graduated from the University of Cincinnati. A former high school dancer, she spent the last four years coaching young girls and sharing her love for dance with the next generation. Now, she’s excited to explore her new city, make new connections, and discover all the beauty northern Michigan has to offer! With a deep passion for health and wellness, Riley is thrilled to be part of the Form community, where she’s expanding her knowledge of Pilates and the XFormer machine. She can’t wait to support you on your fitness journey and help you reach your goals. 

Kayla Van Acker
Instructor

  • Kayla's love for health and fitness began at Michigan State, majoring in Kinesiology followed by her time at Rosalind Franklin University where she received a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Today she practices in Traverse City as a Pelvic Floor specialist. Her love for movement and the mind body connection led her to start taking pilates classes five years ago to now teaching here at Form. She is passionate about helping others develop strength and confidence so they can be their best self. Her favorite move on the XFormer is side lying leg sweeps because who doesn't love a good glute burn? When Kayla is not in the studio or clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and adorable golden retriever.

Ashley Buehler Johnson
Instructor

  • Ashley is an Ohio native and a dedicated mother of three. A lover of a good sandwich, she finds joy in running, reading, sauna dates with her husband, and of course, pilates! Ashley finds solitude in enjoying the simple pleasures that Northern Michigan has to offer with her family and friends. Her favorite XFormer move is the plank to pike!

Kayla Sahr
Instructor

  • Kayla is a physical therapist with a deep passion for fitness and pelvic health as a trained specialist in the field. She combines her clinical expertise with her love for movement to not only address dysfunction in the clinic, but also help clients achieve new levels of strength and performance in the studio. Fitness has transformed her confidence and well-being, inspiring her to guide others toward feeling stronger, healthier, and more confident. When she is not in the clinic or at the studio, Kayla enjoys all of the outdoor adventures Traverse City has to offer, golfing, farmers market Saturdays, and spoiling her two sweet nieces.

Sarah Rasmussen
Instructor

  • Sarah is a Traverse City native and acupuncturist, practicing in the area for over 15 yrs.  Her passion for health and wellness began while pursuing her Master’s in Acupuncture and continues to be part of her everyday life. Working with patients that are in chronic pain and dealing with other health issues has put into perspective how important diet, fitness and mental wellbeing are for our health and longevity.  Being active is a key part of her life, incorporating movement everyday. Yoga, running, Barre and now the Xformer are some of her favorite workouts. Moderation and consistency help her maintain a balanced life, especially while raising 2 busy teenagers. When Sarah is not at her practice, Serenity Wellness, or the studio, you can find her spending time with her family, hiking with her puppy, golfing and reading. Her favorite Form move is crane.

Katherine Palms
Instructor

  • With over a decade of experience in teaching yoga and other well-being practices, Kat brings a deep passion for movement, mindfulness, and self-awareness. Her teaching is informed by a holistic approach—drawing from yoga, functional movement, and recovery techniques—to support sustainable strength and balance. She is passionate about creating an intentional, uplifting environment where students can build confidence, awareness, and ease in their movement. Outside the studio, Kat hosts international well-being retreats and co-hosts the Well Refined Podcast, exploring the intersection of health, mindset, and lifestyle.
